First day of work on RS.

Turned out to be a long day today which started with some whining from darling about soreness. After that we were at Backamo flea market and sold old garbage.

Stop complaining, you did it to yourself.

After that we could finally go to RS. When we arrived I took an old tarpaulin and wound it around the cradle so we were out of the wind. Then it was time for a coffee.

After coffee we attacked the keel which needed a major scraping of old paint which had flaked. It turned out great actually and could perhaps lead to an increased speed of 0.2 knots.

We also brought a lot of things from the boat home that I wanted to go through and possibly replace with new ones or just get a picture of what there is. I felt no sorrow when I looked at the mooring place which was empty now. Bölje was gone. Felt quite good actually.

On our way home we stopped by the hospital to say hello to Dad who was a bit better today.

When we came home I hung up the tails and the other ropes to dry them and make me see what I have got. OMG, I think I could braid a mainsail from all of this.

Since I had brought the teak oil with me from the boat the flag pole got a spa treatment.

Thank you for today. Might be more tomorrow.

The first fika.

Last Saturday we were at the boat together for the first time. Even if it is on the hard it felt nice to sit in the cockpit with a cup of coffee and a sandwich thinking ahead towards summer next year.

There are a few things to do before then. The cabin will be cleaned and the curtains will be changed. The cockpit will also be cleaned and come spring the keel will be polished.

The galley in the boat. An Origo alcohol stove.

The car was fully packed on the way home.

We are looking forward to many lovely days together on River Song.
